Our room in one of the side stone buildings was the most charming and comfortable that we have stayed. It was so romantic. We had high tea, dinner and breakfast. The food was top notch and the elegant surrounds and views made us feel like royalty. The cozy bar had some early evening entertainment. We had Irish coffees to end the evening. The castle has a grand staircase, lots of interesting antiques, several opulent lounge areas and it was fun going around the three different staircases to explore. The grounds have 1 km walkway and there is forest of historic significance about a 5min drive $5 to enter but very pretty. Save some time for this. It’s all explained in the binder and brochure in your room. We wish we had stayed longer. There was a wedding there and it just added to the romance. And parking and breakfast were included!

Place was really nice, we had dinner and it was very tasty. The room was very well decorated, clean and had everything you could need. The bed was the only downside on the stay, both my wife and I though it was too hard and both had a sore back in the morning. We went down for breakfast and there was a bit of a queue, we were seated in a lovely room while we waited for a table. In a few minutes we were called, the breakfast was quite varied with everything you could think of and we both left with full bellies. Good all round experience, very enjoyable.

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary a few weeks ago and this was our first time at Cabra Castle Hotel. Such an incredible experience! Everything about this hotel was fantastic. Lovely place, very welcoming staff. Louise, our waitress at the Courtroom Restaurant was amazing and her service was first class. Sebastian, the manager of the Derby Bar was such a nice person. We cannot express our gratitude enough. We definitely stay again.

Justyna

Lovely property that didn’t cease to amaze the family! We had a huge family room in the courtyard, the beds were comfy and it was perfectly decorated! The staff was wonderful, so kind and willing to assist as well as answer questions. The grounds were immaculately kept and there were a couple of pretty trails to just escape into nature.

It’s all very beautiful and expensive. The grounds are nice. The staff are helpful and courteous. Food was good quality and well made. It’s old but doesn’t smell damp. Ceilings are generally high and the weather was frosty, but the heating was effective and it wasn’t chilly anywhere.
